over and over again

i’m learning i can trust

so much more than i do

over and over again

i’m learning i’ve outgrown

the fear i’ve worn

for 30 plus years

it constricts me like a jacket

i can’t dance in

i’m ready

i can take off that jacket

wear a lighter layer

more appropriate for the weather

i’ve been blessed with in my life

not everyone gets to do this
